About the CTC
Founded in 1970, the Chattanooga Track Club (CTC) is a non-profit organization with the goal of promoting running, walking, and general fitness in the Chattanooga area. The club pursues this goal through a number of activities including weekly group runs, annual road races, youth programs, and social events.
Each year CTC produces a number of races, including the Raccoon Mountain Road Race, Chickamauga Chase, Chattanooga Chase, Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon, Missionary Ridge Road Race, Signal Mountain Pie Run, Moccasin Bend Fall Classic 10K, Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon, Half Marathon & 5k, Sportsbarn Turkey Trot and Wauhatchie Trail Run. The club also assists numerous other organizations put on races to raise money or awareness for their causes.
The Chattanooga Track Club is a member of the Road Runners Club of America and USA Track & Field.
MISSION
The Chattanooga Track Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to stimulating interest in running and fitness for all ages and to promoting wellness through these activities. The club encourages anyone with similar interests to become a member and support our goals. No special qualifications, other than an interest in running and fitness, are required. Members can choose their own level of involvement: participant, volunteer, or sponsor. Everyone, from serious competitor to the casual walker, is welcome.
