Join us for our annual 5k/10k/1mi Strawberry Chase! We are offering both a live race and virtual this year! (Virtual is for 5k and 10K only.) FINISHER MEDALS FOR ALL 5K and 10K PARTICIPANTS! COURSE: The course is flat and fast through historic Downtown Dayton, TN. It begins and ends at the Rhea County Community Center (Rc3) and is professionally timed. This event is a part of the Dayton Tn Strawberry Festival (tnstrawberryfestival.com)and raises funds to provide fitness equipment for the Rhea County Community Center, a non-profit wellness organization which seeks to build a healthy community. Packet Pickup May 7, 2021 6-8 PM at Rc3 and day of race. RACE DAY SCHEDULE: 7:00AM - Day-of REGISTRATION and packet pick-up 7:30am - REGISTRATION CLOSES! 7:45 am - 5K and 10K start 9:15AM - 1 Mile start 5K - $30 (after April 23-$35) 10K - $35 (after April 23-$40) 1 Mi Fun Run/Walk - $15 (after April 23 - $20) REGISTER HERE: http://runsignup.com/.../StrawberryChase5K10k1MileFunRunWalk Awards: All 5K/10K finishers will receive a medal. Place Medals will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall male and female, 1st place in age groups, and Masters male and female (40+). Strawberries, a 3-month membership to Rc3, and other gift certificates and prizes are also awarded to overall winners as well as to Masters. Top 3 girls and boys, 12 year olds and under and top 3 men and women, 50 years old and over will receive medals for the 1 mile race. 5k and 10k participants receive performance shirts. 1 milers receive a cotton shirt. Strawberries, bagels, water and more will be provided for runners. Strollers and dogs are welcome but will start at the back of the pack. 10k is a double loop route. You can run using the app beginning April 19, 2021 through May 8 at 11:59pm. Your times will be added to results, but awards will not be given. All virtual runners will receive a shirt and finisher medal. There will be an option on the online race registration medal and shirt to be shipped.
