The last Runner of the Year (ROY) event took place on Saturday morning at the Chattanooga Nature Center. The brisk morning bought out 100 brave souls to participate in the only handicap race event in the ROY series. Runners start the event based on their age and gender. 
The overall winner for this years’ event was Nancy O’Neill with a race time of 34:19. She was followed by Steven Fassino (37:58) and Mark Koenig (38:23). The event also features a Family Team competition. The team of Joseph and Daniel Goetz with a combined race time of 1:20:32 won this competition.
