Thank you for supporting the 2018 Run of Honor! This event is produced by the Chattanooga Track Club in partnership with the Chattanooga Market to raise funds for the Tim Chapin Scholarship Fund and the Fort Campbell Fisher House. The Chattanooga Track Club is a non-profit organization committed to promoting running & fitness and we put on 14 events each year. Check out our upcoming events at and join us this fall!

We’re looking forward to seeing you this Sunday! We want your morning to be a smooth, wonderful experience – so here are a few important details:

Packet Pick up

· You may pick up your race t-shirt & bib at Oddstory Brewing Company on Saturday, 9/8 from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Oddstory is located at 336 E MLK BLVD. Please note that this is a 21 & Older establishment. You must be 21 to enter – however – we will be situated at the roll up windows on the Foster St. side of the building and you may walk up to grab your packets with under 21 company.

· You may also pick up your t-shirt & bib on race morning in front of Finley Stadium from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM. We’ll be by the front gate on the W. 19th Street side of the facility.

Race Day Schedule

· 6:30 AM – Walk up registrations & packet pick up opens in front of Finley Stadium

· 7:45 AM – Walk up registration & packet pick up closes

· 7:45 AM – Walker & runners report to starting line on 20th just before Broad St. (PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION THIS YEAR).

· 7:50 AM – National Anthem and pre-race instructions

· 8:00 AM – 8k Road Race Begins

· 8:02 AM – 1 Mile Walk begins

· 8:30 AM – Post race food & drink at the finish line inside Finley
 Stadium. Enjoy Peet’s Coffee, Chicken Salad Chick, Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt, fruit, granola bars, water and PowerAde!

· 10:00 AM – Award Ceremony – 50 yard line, Finley Stadium


· 8k (NEW IN 2018!). For a map, click HERE. This year we will start on W. 20th just before Broad Street. It will proceed down W. 20th, turn left up Washington, Right onto 17th, Left on Madison, Right on Main, Left on Central, Right on Bailey, Right on Holtzclaw, Right on Main, Left on Madison, Right on to 17th, Left on Washington, Right on W. 20th, Right on Reggie White, bear right down ramp into Finley Stadium, finish under the arch inside Finley!

· 1 Mile (NEW IN 2018!). For a map, click HERE. This year we will also start the 1 Mile on W. 20th just before Broad – but walkers will head in the OPPOSITE direction of the 8k. Down W. 20th toward Reggie White, Right on Reggie White, Right on W. 19th, Left on Chestnut, Left through parking lot entrance nearest Main St., across parking lot, Right on Reggie White, bear left down ramp into Finley Stadium, finish under the arch inside Finley!

Timing & Results

· The 1 Mile fun run / walk is NOT timed. Please wear bibs toward the front so they are visible while you are on the course. Thank you!

· The 8k race will be chip timed. You will need a shoe chip! Please be sure to stop by the registration table on race morning before you run. Grab your shoe chip (# on chip will match your bib#), secure it to your shoe (we provide zip ties). Please do not put the chip in your pockets or hold in your hand. It must be on your shoe to be tracked by timing mats. We will collect your shoe chip at the finish line.

· The race will be gun-timed. This means that those who are looking to race competitively should be sure to start toward the front of the race (no timing mat at race start). Timing mats will be at the finish line and will record your finish time. Results will be posted at on Sunday afternoon (age group results as well as overall).


There will be plenty of parking in front of / around Finley Stadium on race morning as well as some on-street parking. Please obey all parking signs (city, Market, Finley). To find out more about city parking and options near Finley please visit


Custom made pottery from Windy Hill Pottery will be awarded this year. Overall M/F as well as 1st M/F Master, Grand Master, and Senior Grand Masters will receive a Run of Honor crock. Age group winners (1st in A/G) will receive custom ceramic Run of Honor logo medallions. Age groups will be: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.

Please note that awards will not be mailed. If you are unable to stay for the awards ceremony, please arrange for a fellow runner to retrieve your award.

There will NOT be toilets on the 8k or 1 mile race course or inside the stadium. However, toilets will be available inside the First Tennessee Pavilion – just a short walk from packet pick up & registration. They will be available before and after the race.

We are incredibly thankful for the support of the City of Chattanooga and the Chattanooga Police Department! We also wish to thank the Chattanooga Track Club and Chattanooga Market staff & volunteers who continue to make this event successful – we could not do it without them!
