Chickamauga Chase Pre Race Info

As a reminder – racing begins at 8:30 AM. The 8M trail race, 15k, and 5k will begin at 8:30 am. The Scenic 2.4 mile walk will immediately follow the start of those 3 events. We will be hosting an early packet pick up on Friday, April 20th at Whole Foods Market (301 Manufacturers Road, Chattanooga, TN 37405) from 3pm – 8pm. Parking is FREE and we will be on the 2nd floor of the facility. A few important details:

• Whole Foods will be hosting a $5.00 Pasta Dinner from 4pm – 7pm for our racers and volunteers (and accompanying family). Dinner tickets and beverages can be purchased at register on 1st floor (present your email race confirmation or this prerace email) and dinner will be served on the 2nd floor. Take out containers will be available for those on the go. Please see show either your registration or the attached PDF at the cash register for $5.00 pasta dinner

• Please plan to present your Photo ID to pick up your packet. You may pick up for a fellow racer – but please provide proof (photo of their ID, email, text message, etc.). We will note names of those picking up for others


• Registration will be available if you have friends or family interested in joining you for the race. Please note that there is a price bump for walk up registration. Online registration is open until midnight, Thursday 4/19. Encourage your friends to register before race weekend! Cash or Check will be preferred at Friday’s packet pick up. Credit card will be an option on Friday, but there will be an additional $2.00 processing fee


You may also pick up your packet at Wilder Field on race morning beginning at 7:00 am. Racing begins at 8:30 am. Please allow time for parking & short walk over to Wilder Field. Registration will be available on race morning beginning at 7:00 am as well. Please note that registration shuts down PROMPTLY at 8:15 am. Cash and Check ONLY. Credit cards cannot be accepted at the field on race day

Bibs will be labeled with your name, gender, age, event. Please check CAREFULLY to be sure we have your information recorded correctly. Please let someone at the registration table know if any of your information is incorrect. We will record the correct data and make changes in our file prior to the race. Correct gender, age, and event are crucial to our proper reporting of awards


We do allow distance changes. Please be sure to let the registration table know you wish to change events. A new bib with the appropriate distance will be assigned. 8M & 15k are identically priced and changes may be made at no additional cost. Upgrades from lower priced events (5k, walk) will require payment of difference to longer events (8M, 15k). Refunds will not be made for changes from 8M, 15k to shorter events. Thank you for understanding


We will do our best to make sure you leave with a t-shirt that fits! Our first priority is allocating proper sizes to those who registered by the cutoff date of 4/1/18. We have plenty for all who have registered online! Should you find your requested size does not fit, there are two options. 1. You may take your assigned shirt over to the ‘Walk Up Registration’ table and ask the volunteers if a better fit is available among the remaining inventory. 2. You may check back after the race with the t-shirt table to see if a better fit has become available


We will offer a bag drop on race morning at Wilder Field. Please use the clear back provided at packet pick up. Please DO NOT leave anything of value (keys, wallets, phones) in your drop bag. For safety reason please DO NOT leave unattended bags in other locations at Wilder Field. They will be removed and we cannot guarantee their return


Parking is planned to be in the Recreation Field adjacent to Wilder Field (off of Glenn-Kelly Rd). See directions for details. Please also review directions for contingency parking in the event of rain at the end of the week.
Portable toilets will be available at Wilder Field. They will be conveniently located near the race start/finish. Although we will be in a wooded environment we ask that folks please use the proper facilities on race morning. We greatly appreciate the National Park Services allowing us to use Wilder Field and wish to respect the venue


The Chattanooga Track Club produces events year round and we are VERY appreciative of our race participants, club members, dedicated volunteers, talented race directors, hard working board members and all others who continue to make events like the Chickamauga Chase possible. Many of our partners have been involved for years and we thank them for their ongoing support.
