Battle For Chattanooga
race series


"Battle For Chattanooga," is a race series commemorating this area's Civil War history. The FOUR races are held in locations where key events of the Battles of Chickamauga and Chattanooga played out in the fall of 1863

To Participate:   Complete any single event  in each of the four races in this series - there's no cost to participate, simply pay the entry fee for each race.   

Finishers will receive a custom-designed Battle For Chattanooga medal.

Participating Races: 

  • Chickamauga Chase - April 16, 2016
    eligible events: 15K road race, 5K road race, 8 Mile trail race. 

  • King of the Mountain - May 7, 2016
    event: 4 Mile road race

  • Missionary Ridge Road Race– August 6, 2016
  • Chickamauga Battlefield Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K - November 12, 2016 
    eligible events: Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K road races

Complete one eligible event in each race and receive a custom-designed BATTLE FOR CHATTANOOGA finisher's medal. 

The Rules: 

  • you must complete an eligible event in each of the four races in the series. 
  • your name must be listed in the official results posted on the Chattanooga Track Club website. 

Receiving your Battle For Chattanooga Medal:
