Nyorogi and Hrushka Claim 65 Roses

Cleveland, TN– On what turned out to be a perfect morning for running, Johnson Wanyagi Nyorogi of Nairobi, Kenya set a new course record running a steady 15:17 to claim first place in the 65 Roses 5k.  Anna Hrushka of Kaiserslautern, Germany covered the course in 20:14 to win overall in the women’s race.

Over 350 runners took to the streets of the historic downtown Cleveland to raise both money and awareness towards the cure of Cystic Fibrosis.  Now having run its 7th year, the 65 Roses continues to find success in its association with the Chattanooga Track Club and Lee University.  Runner of the Year points were assigned to CTC members at the conclusion of the race.  Full results can be found at the CTC website or at http://www.leeuniversity.edu/cf.
