The Chickamauga Marathon and Half Marathon Training program is excited to offer a new section on its training Web site. Each week Chattanooga based ankle and foot specialist Dr. Christopher Segler will provide valuable advice and information on preventing injuries. This week’s topic: Train Smart, Not Hard. Monday, Wednesday, Friday - 5:45 am - Lookout Mtn, GA at Lookout Mountain Market - 5.2 and 7.9 mile options, moderately fast pace - solid 8 minute miles - only 1 group of runners.  Contact Matt McLelland (

RunScore Training - Would you like to learn how to work a finish line and score a race? CTC is currently looking for volunteers to learn the RunScore system used to score events. To learn more please contact Charlene at

Elementary XC Volunteers - CTC is looking for volunteers to work the Fall Elementary School Cross Country meets scheduled for the afternoons of Thursday Sept 4, 11, 18, and 25th. If you are available to volunteer for one or more of the meets please contact Robert Gustafson at

National Run @ Work Day will be September 19. The Road Runners Club of America’s event encourages everyone to pledge to run at least 35 minutes at work on Sept 19. To learn more visit:
