A longtime Chattanooga Track Club member, runner and booster, Arnold Godwin, died yesterday. Arnold was 90 years old. Until recently Arnold could be seen at all the CTC races cheering on the runners. He was RUNNING the CTC races when he was 80 years old! Arnold also ran many marathons in his day. He loved all runners and everyone loved Arnold.

His son, Dean Godwin, is one of only a handful of runners who has ran and finished EVERY Rocket City Marathon in Huntsville, Alabama.

Arnold's wife of 68 years died a few years ago, and he wasn't quite the same after that.

Please think of Arnold Godwin and his family this week. He was a true gentleman.
